Description:
The attribute 'attach_to_status_icon' is missing in the latest python-notify. It's a packaging/building fix, see: http://bugs.gentoo.org/212128 (it references galago's tracker as well, but it seems to be down).

is not missing, simply that method doesn't exist when using libnotify 0.7

I've modified my software to handle it missing... but considering pynotify hasn't been updated since 2008, and only the Arch package is 'new', my guess is that the 'rm -f src/pynotify.c' needs to happen before packaging.

pynotify.c is regenerated. We have in pkgbuild make clean and this deletes pynotify.c.

can your provide a test case to see that this package is really broken?

Hrm... actually it looks like the software is totally broken. Even the included test cases fail (after making sure they use python2) with 'glib.GError: Unexpected reply type'.
