Details

Description:
shotwell from testing fails to start because it needs libwebkit-1.0.so.2 and 1.3.13-1 is in testing.

Additional info:
* package version(s)

shotwell 0.9.1-2

* config and/or log files etc.
$ shotwell
"shotwell: error while loading shared libraries: libwebkit-1.0.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

Rebuilding it against new dep version caus a crash while importing pictures from folder to database:

Steps to reproduce:
installing gnome3 from testing on a fresh installed system, installing shotwell from testing and starting it.
2. rebuilding with svn entries from testing/arch64 causes crash of the program while importing pictures to database.

shotwell does not depend on libwebkit-1.0.so.2 directly. It depends on libwebkitgtk-1.0.so.0.

So I think problem was in one of shotwell deps. More over now it works for me on i686 and can import /usr/share/pixmaps

you can see who's trying to load the old soname using.

I don't know what you mean,

Does not produce anything.

really, enable community-testing in pacman.conf and that repo should be on top of community, then pacman -Syu
