Since last update lirc my remote stopped working.

When I do 'irw' it shows not IR input, but keyboard input. I know I can disable the keyboard input, but if I do that it won't make the IR work as a real IR.

When I modprobe the lirc-mceusb / lirc-mceusb2 it doesn't find the module, however I do have lirc and lirc-utils installed. Everything was working just fine but the update broke it.

System: Arch Linux x86_64
Remote: mceusb (in some older updates it sometimes gets recognized as mceusb-hauppauge)

best regards

lirc doesn't include the lirc_mceusb driver anymore since it was replaced with the mceusb driver which is in the kernel.

Where was this documented? I searched in the forums and wiki but found nothing.. I loaded the module mceusb and it started working just fine. Sorry for the inconvenience, I will set this as solved.

best regards

Usually the kernel should autoload that module when you insert the stick in your USB port. This was documented in the upstream releasenotes for lirc 0.9.0.
