Reason for closing: Not a bug
Additional comments about closing: you just have to do a reboot after installing nvidia. kernel >= 2.6.34 come with nouveau by default and therefor is using your card. Two modules can't use the card in the same time and nvidia package has a blacklist file for nouveau in /etc/modprobe.d
