Details

As topic, "orphans" advanced search does not list orphaned
packages, when using language different from english.

In file lib/pkgfuncs.inc at row 490

if (isset($_GET["do_Orphans"]) && $_GET["do_Orphans"] == 'Orphans') {

should be

if (isset($_GET["do_Orphans"]) && $_GET["do_Orphans"] == __("Orphans")) {

or it will ever compare the translated orphan button name with the word 'Orphans'.
