Description:
The restart into different os option provided by the grub hook in the kde shutdown menu does not work.

Additional info:
* package version(s) kdebase-runtime 4.6.1-1

Steps to reproduce:
Set grub as the boot manager in system settings > login screen > shutdown > boot manager
Try to restart kde, click and hold on the restart button, a grub equivalent menu drops down. Choose a non-grub-default os to boot into. (This is essentially a restart-into-different-os option). This option gets completely ignored when the system restarts and grub will always boot the default instead.

upstream bug report: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=63800
there, kde devs say this is fixed in KDE and could be a problem of grub setup. Please try to reboot grub from terminal, also look at /var/log/kdm.log
