Details
libgda's headers are installing on /usr/include as
libgda-1.2 and so apps that try to use them can not find it.
I had to manually create a /usr/include/libgda/ link in
order to make the apps compile, like mergeant, which is
developed by the same developer as libgda.

Additional comments about closing: This is an upstream error in mergeants sources and can be easily fixed by running this sedline from mergeants sources dir:
sed -i 's:libgda/sql/sql_parser.h:sql/sql_ parser.h:' libmergeant/mg-query.c

Which app did you try to build?
I'm going to close it then, since you can easily fix it in mergeants sources and it's not relates to our location of libgda.
