libgda's headers are installing on /usr/include as libgda-1.2 and so apps that try to use them can not find it. I had to manually create a /usr/include/libgda/ link in order to make the apps compile, like mergeant, which is developed by the same developer as libgda.

Reason for closing:  Not a bug
Additional comments about closing:  This is an upstream error in mergeants sources and can be easily fixed by running this sedline from mergeants sources dir:
sed -i 's:libgda/sql/sql_parser.h:sql/sql_ parser.h:' libmergeant/mg-query.c

I do consider this to be a bug in the pakage you try to build. I just built libgnomedb which needs libgda properly installed and it does work. Also pkg-config returns correct cflags, as you can easily test:
[tobias@buran ~]$ pkg-config --cflags libgda
-I/usr/include/libgda-1.2 -I/usr/include/glib-2.0 -I/usr/lib/glib-2.0/include -I/usr/include/libxml2

Which app did you try to build?

I doublt that Mergeant has the bug, because it is developed by the same developer. I can't see how he would release a version that looks at the wrong version of libgda. Dunno, you might want to contact him and see what's up.

I'm going to close it then, since you can easily fix it in mergeants sources and it's not relates to our location of libgda.
