DetailsDescription: After upgrading Chromium today (without wanting to do a full system upgrade) led to a broken Chromium. Pacman failed to install the package "libevent". Pacman should install ALL the necessary packages for any application that is being upgraded, and the use of "pacman -Syu" should not be a requirement. Additional info: * package version(s): the latest as of today. * config and/or log files etc: chromium: error while loading shared libraries: libevent-2.0.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Steps to reproduce: Attempt to upgrade one of several apps that require libevent while the system is a couple months outdated (as of today) and the app will not start because pacman didn't install the necessary dependancies. |
