$ pacman -Qo /usr/lib/php/modules/json.so
/usr/lib/php/modules/json.so is owned by php 5.3.5-1
$ pacman -Qo /usr/lib/php/modules/zip.so
/usr/lib/php/modules/zip.so is owned by php 5.3.5-1

You should just uncomment them in /etc/php/php.ini or add line like "extension=....so" if it is absent

something like this should help

open_basedir = /srv/http/:/home/:/tmp/:/usr/share/pear/:/
extension=zip.so
extension=json.so

Thanks ! Maybe, a little post install message should be printed out to inform the user how to enable these extensions...

Apparently json.so is no longer in the php package, which breaks phoronix-test-suite.
