Description:

transmission-gtk v2.21-1 seems not to depend on libevent.

Steps to reproduce:

Install transmission-gtk without having libevent installed, try running transmssion-gtk and get this:

transmission-gtk: error while loading shared libraries: libevent-2.0.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

After having manually installed libevent, transmission-gtk works fine.

transmission-gtk depends on libevent but not an a versioned dependency.

you shouldn't use pacman -Sy package. the proper way of installing packages is pacman -Syu package or pacman -Syu && pacman -S package

doing your way, you busted all packages that link to libevent and haven't been yet updated, like firefox or chromium
