DetailsI wanted t ostart apache with PHP after I just installed Arch Linux 0.7, but apache didn't want to start. I checked and rechecked httpd.conf and the startup script in /etc/rc.d but to no success. I couldnt figure out why apache doesnt start. Then I wanted to start apache using the apachectl program. That's when I noticed that the PHP5 module didn't find the libidn library and that was the cause that apache didn't start. I installed libidn and then it was OK.
I checked the information from the php package and I noticed that libidn wasn't between the required dependency list. I hope that libidn will be added to the dependency list of php so that everything will be ok from now on. |
