/var/log/cups/error_log contains errors like:
E [14/Feb/2011:17:53:39 +0100] Unable to set ACLs on root certificate "/var/run/cups/certs/0" - Operation not supported

using default cups config

pacman -Qi nss-mdns avahi cups | egrep 'Name|Version'
Name : nss-mdns
Version : 0.10-2
Name : avahi
Version : 0.6.28-1
Name : cups
Version : 1.4.6-1

I had these errors when the cups daemon was running, before I installed avahi and nss-mds, and afterwards. (i.e. it seems unrelated)

oops, title needed to be "[cups] Unable to set ACLs on root certificate "/var/run/cups/certs/0" - Operation not supported" or something
