Since XBMC 10.x I'm unable to shutdown my machine from the menu (was running fine with 9.x).

I found out that there are new dependencies missing for XBMC to do that operation as well as two configuration files.
- upower package
- etc/polkit-1/localauthority/50-local.d/org.freedesktop.consolekit.pkla
- etc/polkit-1/localauthority/50-local.d/org.freedesktop.upower.pkla

An easy fix for that problem is to install xfce4-session that installs the above.

Could that be fixed in xbmc package?

upower is in optdepends

As I understand other policy kit files is not related to xbmc and allows any user in 'power' group to do shutdown/reboot/suspend.

So I think it is not xbmc bug.
