Details

Description:

The HDMI audio is working fine the first time X is started, but will stop working if X is restarted or simply closed and started later on.

Additional info:

* package versions:
nvidia 260.19.36-2
kernel26 2.6.37

* hardware config:
Asus M3N78-VM motherboard equipped with an integrated GeForce 8200 (MCP78S).

Steps to reproduce:
Restart X.

I forgot to say, restarting alsa (/etc/rc.d/alsa restart) doesn't help.

Bug present on the NVIDIA board as well:

However, only Archlinux users seems to be affected by the bug, so I guess it could be distribution specific...
