DetailsDescription:
It takes 20-30 seconds to start a single torrent download. During that the application is completely unresponsive. If I have several torrents, it takes minutes for the application to start. Additional info: * package version(s) - extra/ktorrent 4.0.5-1 * config and/or log files etc. If I run ktorrent in terminal, this happens: loxs ~/ $ ktorrent KGlobal::locale::Warning your global KLocale is being recreated with a valid main component instead of a fake component, this usually means you tried to call i18n related functions before your main component was created. You should not do that since it most likely will not work loxs ~/ $ Warning: QDBusObjectPath: invalid path "" Warning: QDBusObjectPath: invalid path "" Warning: QDBusObjectPath: invalid path "" Warning: QDBusObjectPath: invalid path "" Warning: QDBusObjectPath: invalid path "" Warning: QDBusObjectPath: invalid path "" The five warnings appear for each torrent download starting. They appear one at a time, 20-30 seconds apart. Seems like it tries to find some file for some reason, and application is frozen until it timeouts. Steps to reproduce: try to download something in ktorrent. |

This is upstream or something related to your ktorrent configuration, try removing them (~/.kde4/share/{apps,config}/ktorrent*)

This didn't help, but removing all of ~/.kde4 solved it.
