Details

Description:

Transfering files over bluetooth (obex) seems to be broken with bluez 4.87.
After i downgraded bluez to 4.84, i could send and receive files.

Affected: IBM Thinkpad T43 with Archlinux i686 and Gnome. Blueman as manager.

maybe there is a regression from upstream. please report this to bluez devs

With 4.88 and 4.89 i can't send/receive files from/to my mobile phone to/from my laptop.
The problem or phenomenon still exists.

I'am the only one with this problem?

This is a crazy problem for me because, blueman shows me an green bullet in the systray but obexftp will fail.

Hi Andrea,

with bluez 4.90 the problem still exists.
In blueman i can see bluetooth activity and pairing works without problems.

Now i think it's not a bluez issue, but with obexftp.
Even in the console, obexftp (command) fails.

Console output of obexftp:
Browsing XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX ...
Connecting ... failed: connect
Interrupted/bad reception or the device moved out of range: Operation now in progress

Tried to connect for 0ms
