Description:

Trying to use a python3 C++-binding, I had the following error:
ImportError: /usr/lib/libboost_python.so.1.45.0: undefined symbol: PyClass_Type
I then checked the library, and it turns out there are actually lots of undefined symbols in /usr/lib/libboost_python.so.1.45.0. This issue has already beed raised for  FS#10998  and closed with the following message: "This appears to be fixed, and there's been no post for a long time about it. However, if it turns out still to be a bug, please request reopen." As a consequence, I am requesting reopening.
