amarok crashes because of flac, so I tried upgrading to latest flac.

My question is: is flac 1.1.1-2 corrupted?
(note that size differs a lot from 1.1.2-1 I have installed - don't know for sure from which repository)

# pacman -Sy flac

Sorry, I misread the size (compressed size is 650KB). Ignore the size "problem".

Err... how should I say this... can this bug be closed? (since it doesn't exist)

I think I had an incomplete file download (probably because of the powerfailure I've experienced yesterday). I don't know why pacman wanted to install it if it was incomplete, instead of continuing.

Dorphell reverted the flac upgrade but didn't raise the version number, so people that didn't get the upgrade to 1.1.2 won't get an upgrade. A recompile was needed to add the force=y flag to get all people using the broken flac to a downgrade.
Because the old 1.1.1-2 is still in your cache, pacman thinks it's corrupted.
