I've just installed dmd and it doesn't compile the most basic code because the runtime library is not installed. See example below:

knarf ~/prog/d > cat > helloworld.d
import std.stdio;

void main ()
{
writefln("Hello world!");
}
knarf ~/prog/d > dmd helloworld.d
object.d: Error: module object cannot read file 'object.d'
zsh: segmentation fault dmd helloworld.d
knarf ~/prog/d >

One of the runtime library should be made as a dependence, or a message should be printed to warn about this.

Reason for closing:  Fixed
Additional comments about closing:  Ok, fixed. dmd now prints a warning when it is first installed.

I think I'll go with printing a warning. I suppose I could pick either
libphobos or libtango, but that would probably make someone unhappy.
The two packages conflict.
