DetailsI've just installed dmd and it doesn't compile the most basic code because the runtime library is not installed. See example below:
knarf ~/prog/d > cat > helloworld.d import std.stdio; void main () { writefln("Hello world!"); } knarf ~/prog/d > dmd helloworld.d object.d: Error: module object cannot read file 'object.d' zsh: segmentation fault dmd helloworld.d knarf ~/prog/d > One of the runtime library should be made as a dependence, or a message should be printed to warn about this. |

Additional comments about closing: Ok, fixed. dmd now prints a warning when it is first installed.

libphobos or libtango, but that would probably make someone unhappy.
The two packages conflict.
