DetailsDescription:
The variable GRUB_DISABLE_LINUX_RECOVERY in /etc/default/grub does not work. In researching the problem I believe that the variable should actually be GRUB_DISABLE_RECOVERY. This is how the variable is referred to in the /etc/grub.d/10_linux file. When I renamed the variable in /etc/default/grub to GRUB_DISABLE_RECOVERY and reran grub-mkconfig, the generated grub.cfg file looks appropriate. Steps to reproduce: Uncomment the GRUB_DISABLE_LINUX_RECOVERY variable in /etc/default/grub and run grub-mkconfig. The resulting. grub config still contains a "Recovery" option.
