Description:
I have a Latitude E6410 laptop with integrated Intel graphics, 64-bit Arch installed, KDE 4.6 as the DE, and 8GB of RAM. Every time I play a full-screen game, I get a message that kwin has crashed, and then when plasma restarts, the kmenu will never appear again unless I reboot. This only happens when desktop effects is enabled, and happens 100% of the time if I exit a full screen game with desktop effects enabled. While I can get by with just suspending desktop effects before launching a game, sometimes I forget.

The games I play are zsnes and neverball. Both exhibit this problem. Neverball is probably the best test case since it's the most well known between the two.

Steps to reproduce:
1.) Log in to KDE
2.) Ensure desktop effects are enabled
3.) Launch Neverball (perhaps other OpenGL games may cause this issue)
4.) Exit the game
5.) Kwin crashes, the kmenu will no longer appear when you click the K icon

Flash Fullscreen video playback (e.g. youtube) also causes kwin crash

Works for me. This could be a bug in the driver of your video card, you should report this upstream.
Also, the youtube fullscreen crash was due to the flashplugin.
