DetailsDescription:
After installing chromium (on a new and almost bare system), it won't run because of missing fonts: [2104:2104:499098243:FATAL:gfx/platform_font_gtk.cc(296)] Check failed: typeface. Could not find any font: Helvetica, sans Additional info: * chromium 8.0.552.237-1 Steps to reproduce: (* newly installed system, xfce4) * install chromium * first run: choose search engine, after that it crashes with the above message * subsequent runs: crash Fixed it by installing a font package (ttf-dejavu, because that was the one I recognized in the font packages names). I think there should be "depends" or a post-install note about installing fonts. Otherwise I wasn't sure what package to install to get the appropriate fonts for this to work. |
This task depends upon
we should add ttf-dejavu to depends
