DetailsThe fcron.install says "By default fcron uses /usr/sbin/sendmail"
But pkgbuild runs configure --without-sendmail, in an attempt to disable sendmail completely. Perhaps skip this configure flag? As the intention seems to be that we should indeed use sendmail. (In addition, there seems to be a bug in fcron which causes this flag to set sendmail path to "no" (!); we would also avoid this bug until it gets fixed). |

Except notifying upstream of this and/or write a patch (both to the fcron-dev ml) we can't do something for now.
If you want to write a patch, the git repository is available at http://git.tuxfamily.org/fcron/fcron.git
I'll leave the ticket open and inform upstream by Wednesday if you don't want to do so and send a patch with that report.
by default, so why not remove the any kind of flag trying to keep
it from doing that? I tried without any --with/without-sendmail
flag, and it seems fine.
Upstream, Thibault, knew about it a while ago, and I bumped him
about it yesterday. No response yet.

just remove that flag and let it in the way is configured by default.
