Description:
After the upgrade at 2011/01/20 I recognized that OpenGL applications only show up with a blank window. This affects all programs with an own x window somehow, eg. watching videos with vlc doesn't work (I switched to totem), xmoto doesn't show up, etc. The applications can only be killed with a SIGKILL. Compiz, meanwhile, can use OpenGL without hanging up. There are no relevant messages in the logs.

Additional info:
Kernel: 2.6.36-ARCH
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT
Driver: nvidia

This problem dissolved a few months after reporting. For the current state I can't say anything as I'm using nouveau now.
