Details

Pulseaudio fails to start without DBus started. This is odd considering the PulseAudio package didn't want me to install DBus.

Additional info:
$ pacman -Qi pulseaudio
...
Version : 0.9.22-2
Depends On : libpulse=0.9.22-2 rtkit libtool speex libsamplerate tdb udev
...
$ pulseaudio --start

$ pulseaudio

Steps to reproduce:
Install PulseAudio.
Don't install, or disable DBus.
Try to start PulseAudio.

Reason for closing:  Not a bug
Additional comments about closing:  libpulse depends on dbus-core. The error message is completely clear about what is wrong on your system, so this is a configuration error on your side.
