CUPS does not detect USB printers in the default setup. Tested with Konica Minolta PagePro 1300W (min12xxw) Additional info: * package version(s) cups 1.4.6-1 libcups 1.4.6-1 * config and/or log files etc. E [15/Jan/2011:01:05:05 +0100] [CGI] Unable to create avahi client: Resource temporarily unavailable E [15/Jan/2011:01:05:05 +0100] [cups-deviced] PID 14455 (dnssd) stopped with status 1! Using the default configuration file. The message above repeats on each attempt to detect new printers using the http interface. Steps to reproduce: Try to detect a USB printer. This has been discussed in the forum [https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=878499], but the the thread contains a piece of nonsense that does not resolve the issue anyway. |
