The configure.py script of these two packages doesn't seem to honour the CFLAGS and LDFLAGS environment variables. Use python configure.py CFLAGS="$CFLAGS" LFLAGS="$LDFLAGS" to force them to do so. Additional info: I looked at version 4.12-1 of the PKGBUILDs Steps to reproduce: Compile the packages with custom CFLAGS or LDFLAGS in your /etc/makepkg.conf |
