Please edit the the titel to " [gvim] crash on opening tab"
Secondly add your .vimrc please

Daniel, there is something wrong with your system/vim installation. For me, gvim opens several tabs both on i686 and x64 without any problems. For instance:
gvim -p vbetool.files libx86.files == OK
gvim vbetoo.files -> :tabf ./libx86.files == OK

I suggest that you recompile gvim youself from ABS.
