Description:
Hi, I am trying to build grass with ABS but it gives me an error:

make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/huub/abs/grass/src/grass-6.4.0'

-> Stripping unneeded symbols from binaries and libraries...
/usr/bin/strip:opt/grass/bin/r.li.shannon: could not create temporary file to hold stripped copy: No error "

Additional info:
* package version(s)
pkgname=grass
pkgver=6.4.0
pkgrel=6

* config and/or log files etc.
PKGBUILD attached to message

Steps to reproduce:
Copied the PKGBUILD and other files in the grass directory of /var/abs/grass to my abs directory in /home
'makepkg' gives the above mentioned error.

I'm assuming you haven't modified the attached PKGBUILD.

Grass builds correctly for me when I build it inside a chroot.

To build inside a chroot, install devtools, and run extra-x86_64-build or extra-i686-build instead of makepkg.
This requires a lot of disk space, so make sure you have enough (it will create a clean linux chroot)
