The configure script fails if the file /usr/share/hwdata/pci.ids (or similar) isn't found on the system. This file is provided by the pciutils package. Additional info: I looked at the 164-3 version of the PKGBUILD. Steps to reproduce: Uninstall pciutils and compile udev. |

pciutils is in the base group.

The 'its in base rule' is deprecated as far as i know, plus its always nice having those for consistency IMO.

Ahh, I forgot to check the group of pciutils tbh., but if what Greg says is true, that would be awesome!
