DetailsDescription:
Running on a HP G60, KDE 4.6, binary Nvidia drivers & Nvidia GeForce 8200M. In kernel26-lts (currently version 2.6.32.27-1), suspending / hibernate from the KDE Desktop using pm-utils & kernel suspend works without a hitch. In the latest kernel26 (currently version 2.6.36.2-1), with either action I am presented with a flashing underscore on the screen, and the suspend action doesn't take place. Also, the keyboard is non-responsive, requiring a hard reboot. If 'hibernate' was used, upon booting up after this, the system cleans up orphaned inodes and doesn't attempt to load a resume image. Additional info: * package version(s) kernel26 2.6.36.2-1 pm-utils 1.4.1-1 * config and/or log files etc. /var/log/pm-suspend.log always claims that the suspend or hibernate was a success, presenting no errors. Steps to reproduce: Try to suspend in kernel26 |
