Detailsffplay (part of the ffmpeg package) does not playback audio, as if it is muted, after the sdl update to 1.2.14-6 from sdl 1.2.14-5 on x86_64. I did not test on i686. Reverting to sdl 1.2.14-5 allows the audio to play. This occurs in both the repository version of ffmpeg and the AUR package ffmpeg-svn.
To reproduce: 1. Install current ffmpeg 25679-1 and sdl 1.2.14-6. Play audio file: "ffplay input.foo". Audio doesn't play. 2. Remove sdl 1.2.14-6 and install sdl 1.2.14-5. Play audio file with ffplay. Audio should now play. If you don't have the x86_64 sdl 1.2.14-5 package in /var/cache/pacman/pkg you can get it at: http://greasedscotsman.com/arch/sdl-1.2.14-5-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz $ md5sum sdl-1.2.14-5-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz e778e3db11239cf8ee9f22767debfa63 sdl-1.2.14-5-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz |

Re-installation of sdl and pulseaudio seems to have fixed this issue, but I'm not sure exactly what fixed it (or why it wasn't working in the first place).
