Description:
I found a bug with ca-certificates while upgrading my system today. It looks like this:

Steps to reproduce:
Perform a system upgrade and this happened... I do a system upgrade at least once a month, often times more.

Then i re-tried it using the -f switch to bypass file errors, and i got the following errors:

That's not a bug, but a shortcoming in java. The java hook included in ca-certificates-java updates the java keystore and the error you're seeing is coming from a certificate that has been signed with a hash not supported by java.

Ah, the tempfile command... it's part of debianutils. That should be rewritten to something that doesn't need debianutils.

ca-certificates-java-20100412-2 does no longer use tempfile. However, the error shown in your log wont be affected by this. It was told to be fixed upstream but it does not seem to work with our vm.
