I just installed libreoffice in Gnome and it didn't appear in any of the menus. Additional info: libreoffice 3.2.99.3-1 Gnome 2.32 I checked in /usr/share/applications/ and there is no .desktop file there. Steps to reproduce: sudo pacman -S libreoffice |

Funny though, because other programs i have installed showed up immediately.
I was looking for libreoffice.desktop previously. However i now realise that they are called calc.desktop, impress.desktop etc., so i guess they would need to have been there all along.
