Reason for closing:  Works for me
Additional comments about closing:  could be related to video driver, mesa or xorg or maybe upstream. Not a packaging bug for sure.

I am also seeing this happen on my Netbook using the Netbook Plasma workspace, here is my .xsession-errors http://paste.pocoo.org/show/301688/. I have KDE 4.5.4-1.

mmm no issues here, maybe some old/configuration issue? I am using nvidia (and GPU 7300GT).

I already tried renaming my .kde4 directory just incase that was the issue and the problem still exists. I am using the vesa driver with an openchrome cx700 card. For me KDE was running fine before the KDE 4.5.4 update. I also ran pacman -Sf kde to force it to reinstall everything just incase there was a problem during the upgrade.

which card do you have and which driver are you using? [testing] enabled?

I have a VIA openchrome cx700 s3 unichrome pro, using the vesa driver the openchrome driver can't determine my vsync. I do not have the testing repo enabled on my system. On a side know KDE 4.5.4 works under the failsafe session but not the default session so the issue is more than likely in the difference between the two.
