Somewhat related to  FS#20322 . If grub2 is included please consider allowing an option to use gdisk instead of cfdisk. Why? Because cfdisk can't do GPT

the package is now named gptfdisk

The package size of "gptfdisk" is small the issue is with the dependency "icu".

For GPT disks use parted that is already included in live-medium.

Should request that AIF use parted if you want.

It is possible to compile gptfdisk without ICU dep (but removing UTF-16LE support). This is a minor feature for UTF16LE partition labels but a feature defined by GPT specification and thus gptfdisk will support it by default. See http://gptfdisk.git.sourceforge.net/git/gitweb.cgi?p=gptfdisk/gptfdisk;a=blob_plain;f=Makefile;hb=HEAD (self-explanatory).

Hello,

I've by mistake opened up another bug report to include gptfdisk,  FS#26431 , but wanted to ask what the current status is / if there is work going on to include gptfdisk finally?

Imho for gpt gptfdisk is much more intuitive to use than parted and it is also often referenced from the wiki and thus it's pretty annoying to translate sgdisk speech into parted,
especially when you are in a pre-installed (aka installer) environment.

Cheers,

Nico
