DetailsDescription:The Arch installation routine is not consistent in the method to back out of the process. Selecting Ctrl-C is the unlisted failsafe method which gives the user the command prompt, and saves an annoying reboot process. The mislabeled "8.Exit Install" gives one the reboot instead of just exit.
Also, the way to get to the help documentation is not described in the menus, so the user is left without help if they forgot the vague directions given prior to starting the install. Directions should also be included telling the user to have another computer available showing the Beginners' Guide prior to installing. Additional info: * package version(s) * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce:Boot from the install CD. Follow directions. |

Huh? It tells you "if all went ok, you can reboot". and closes the program.
if with vage directions you mean "You can find documentation at /usr/share/aif/docs/official_installation_guide_en" then Arch is just not for you.
