DetailsUpdate of scrollkeeper 0.3.14-2 and possibly related readline 5.0-2 produces the following pacman error:
updating scrollkeeper catalogue ... sh: error while loading shared libraries: libreadline.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory upgrading readline... done. The following gnome packages were updated in this pass (and this is where I assume the scrollkeeper update came from): gnome-common-2.8.0-6 gnome-panel-2.8.2-2 |

Somehow, bash is launched during the readline upgrade, which doesn't work, because readline is not on the system at that moment.
It's more a warning than an error because the readline script doesn't have a pre_upgrade script.
This error makes your system UNBOOTABLE.
When I try to reboot, I get this message with some error about kdm no being able to start. I tried to boot to a bash shell and it doesn`t work: I get this error with a kernel panic.
