Description:
Trying to print some PDF with Evince with a CUPS driven printer results in "a completed task", but nothing happens. My printer is Canon Pixma MP270, maybe it's because of its drivers, but nonPDFs are printed fine. Additional info: * package version(s) evince 2.32.0-5 cups 1.4.5-1 libcups 1.4.5-1 Steps to reproduce: Open some PDF with Evince, print it with a real printer. |

lp filename.pdf works?
I will try it on weekend (that's when I will have access to it).
But last weekend I tried to print another PDF (just text PDF) and
it worked. PDF that couldn't be printed was a huge one with
scanned sheet music. (Although it was printed successfully after I
rebooted to old Ubuntu 8.04 with its old Evince.)
I guess it's another ghostscript issue you can solve by
downgrading gs.
Same problem here using CUPS and a Samsung CLP-315. Okular prints
fine.
Thanks for interest but it seems it's now solved - after upgrading
system (to cups 1.4.5-2, libcups 1.4.5-2; evince and ghostscript
hold at 2.32.0-5 and 9.00-1) it works.
