Details

After upgrading to KDE 4.5.80, Dolphin has issues if HAL is disabled:

1)It takes some time to launch (there seems to be a noticeable lag)
2)There are these errors in konsole (if dolphin is launched from there):

It seems the lag remains even after having HAL enabled. It could a general Dolphin issue.

hal is deprecated now in kde.

what is your login method?

I use KDM.

Only Dolphin has *this* weird lag. Even resizing the device's panel has lag. In KDE 4.5.x, there aren't these particular problems.

Yes this happen here too, but you forget that this is the first beta of KDE 4.6 series.
This is not a packaging bug.

I though it could be something I missed (as wonder said, HAL shouldn't be running anyway) or some dependency that could be missing. I made this report so that you would know what's going on :)
