Additional info: * package version(s) 2.9.0.1-1 Steps to reproduce: 1. install snort (http://www.archlinux.org/packages/community/x86_64/snort/) 2. configure and get rules 3. run snort You will get : ERROR: / etc / snort / snort.conf (194) => Invalid keyword 'compress-depth' for 'global' configuration. Fatal Error, Quitting... this error comes because of snort compiled without zlib |
