Description:
Since KDE SC 4.5.2 I've been having these lines on my desktop almost every time I login. I have to log out several times (sometimes even restart) for them to disappear. I'm running KDE in 1680x1050 on a nvidia 9800 GT card. Here is my xorg.conf Section "Device" Identifier "G92 [GeForce 9800 GT]" Driver "nvidia" EndSection the rest I let the xserver automically handle and that has always worked fine. I've attached a screendump of my desktop with the lines. |

I think it is not related to nVidia driver.
Settings off dektop efects no problem.
I think this is an Arch problem. I don't know for other distros too.
The Plasma Screen is writed in two times.
First it is writed in low resolution (upper left corner). Last in normal resolution.
I can't see this ... bug? in other distros.
I like use the effects too :-(
BTW, KDE 4.5.4 will be released tomorrow.
Change desktop theme to any other -> Apply -> Change back to original theme -> Apply. Thats all ;)
It seems like if this file is there, no corruption occurs.
Yes, it seems this issue is only related with the Air Theme.
I think is not a nVidia issue.
But if I delete it, the corruption appears in the next login after boot.
I had not this file in my desktop directory and I copy it from /root/desktop some days ago. Suddenly my problem has gone.
Then when I deleted it the problem has returned.
With this file in ~/desktop I have no problem.
???
Sorry for my bad english ;-) but I only speak spanish.
