Why don't to add fm-radio support to mplayer? It had worked fine for me, when I rebuilt mplayer with --enable-radio and --enable-radio-capture in the config options. The main reason for such a step is a lack of fm-radio applications in Linux (or at least in Arch'a repos + AUR). KRadio is a nice one, but it fits only those, who uses KDE. I've tried gnome-radio and gqradio, but it's hard to tune they to use 32000 Hz samplerate for raw audiostream. Mplayer give us a common approach to tv and radio configuration. Moreover, while using smplayer it's easy to view tv, listen to radio and watch movies in one place. |

for that exists abs to easy customize officially packages
that's why we have support for it.
