The erlang port mapping daemon needs to be run in order to establish live erlang nodes. Archlinux currently doesn't supply an epmd initscript. Maybe just take mine (attached). |

Additional comments about closing: Just checked, and the erlang package does include an epmd script. Please reopen if this is should happen to be about a different sort of epmd script than the one included with erlang.
