For the last 2 months, MOST Gtk 1.2.x apps are loading with a HUGE window. More than 32,000 pixels wide! It's really huge and makes my gtk 1.2.x apps unusable. It happens with most GTK apps, no matter when these were compiled or installed: gconbust main window, XMMS preference panel, dvd:rip preference panel and others.

gcombust gives me this error on the terminal:

Gtk-WARNING **: gtk_widget_size_allocate(): attempt to allocate widget with width 42467 and height 11955

Found the problem. The bug is with the SmoothEngine and SmoothGnome. Changing to default GTK's theme/engine, the bug does not occur. References:
