When trying compose a new message in evolution, evolution
crashes and displays the following message: "Could not
create composer window. - Unable to activate the address
selector control."
This happend after my system update yesterday. The only packages that were updated were: [02/07/05 19:13] synchronizing package lists [02/07/05 19:13] starting full system upgrade [02/07/05 19:13] upgraded libbonobo (2.8.0-1 -> 2.8.1-1) [02/07/05 19:13] upgraded libbonoboui (2.8.0-1 -> 2.8.1-1) [02/07/05 19:13] upgraded orbit2 (2.12.0-1 -> 2.12.1-1) Following is the output when I start evolution from a terminal: [gthb@wolf][~] > evolution-2.0 evolution-shell-Message: Killing old version of evolution-data-server... it seems libtasn1 and openldap are now required?
The LDAP requirement was in gnome-vfs via samba, which is optional nowadays.
I will do a rebuild with the right dependencies tomorrow. I'll file a bug against gnutls, since it breaks things again...
:: gnutls-1.0.23-2: is up to date. Upgrade anyway? [Y/n] y
Targets: openldap-2.2.23-1 gnutls-1.0.23-2
Total Package Size: 1.6 MB
Proceed with upgrade? [Y/n] y
checking package integrity... done.
loading package data... done.
checking for file conflicts... done.
installing openldap... done.
upgrading gnutls... done.
And evolution works great!
