Summary and Info:

Technically this is an out-of-date request, but requires more context than a simple checkmark can provide.

We've been using the 0.11 stable branch, which has been dead for some time. Even the 0.12 dev branch is dead. We should be using 0.13.

There are bug fixes from two years ago which only exist in 0.13. The source tarball we've been using is really out of date. Some of these bugs are hilarious, such as the little clock using 50% of your CPU (with enough open tabs).

Only problem, 0.13 is git. I know

if you said that the stable is too buggy then we should use the dev branch. we are doing the same for mplayer, ffmpeg, wine, were their developers only accept bugs against latest revisions
