Description:
I'm running KDE4 on Arch64 but I use sound-juicer for ripping CD's to MP3 files and I have been using it for years now. Since the latest update of sound-juicer. I can't rip CD's anymore. It's unable to find the track list. The CD is recognised fine by Amarok and I can rip with amarok but not with sound-juicer. A pop-up windows says that itr can't mount the drive its proper or something location.

Additional info:
* package version(s)
* config and/or log files etc.

sound-juicer_x86-64 2.32.0-1

Tried again today to rip a CD with sound-juicer and I still can't mount the drive with it. Amarok works fine though.

I've been trying again to rip CD's. Some work some don't first I thought that it was just my new CD's that didn't work (ones I bought over the last year) but older CD's which I previously ripped with sound-juicer can't be read by it no more.

Popup message:

"Could not read the CD

Sound Juicer could not read the track listing on this CD.
Reason: Cannot access CD: The specified location is not mounted"

CD reads fine in VLC

Do you have gvfs installed?

I'll try it when it hits the stable repo.

2.32.1 still can't work well, I get the following message:
"$ sound-juicer

(sound-juicer:10767): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_ref: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed
MusicBrainz: Connecting to http://musicbrainz.org:80
MusicBrainz: GET /ws/1/release/?type=xml&discid=ggB4bA0hYeNRZUQbBrev1BMRGNM-
MusicBrainz: Result: 0 (200 OK)
MusicBrainz: Status: 200
MusicBrainz: Response:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><metadata xmlns="http://musicbrainz.org/ns/mmd-1.0#" xmlns:ext="http://musicbrainz.org/ns/ext-1.0#"><release-list></release-list></metadata>

** (sound-juicer:10767): CRITICAL **: atk_object_add_relationship: assertion `ATK_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed

** (sound-juicer:10767): CRITICAL **: atk_object_add_relationship: assertion `ATK_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed"

I add "Preference->Profiles" manually, and it can work now, but still get the following message:
"$ sound-juicer

(sound-juicer:14012): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_ref: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed"

In my case it works better now. I can rip CD's I couldn't rip before. Though all my profiles are gone and the gtk theme I set in KDE isn't used anymore.

I don't use it anymore. I've switched over to KDE completely. But I just installed again in order to test it and it seems to work now. But my gtk theme is not loading. How do I make gtk3 apps use KDE themes?

The wiki should have details of dealing with GTK3 in KDE
