Detailsncurses is built without unicode support. Translations in applications depending on it don't work (messages messed up). Example: Yzis. In this particular case (Yzis), it won't even build if ncurses does not have unicode.
Every major distro ships ncurses with unicode (Mandrake, SuSE, Fedora, Debian, Gentoo). It seems it's just an AL option then. Please add this "feature". |

There's a widec-enabled ncurses package in testing now.
