DetailsDescription: installed xz from testing [5.0.0-1] via makepkg
pacman then gives following error: pacman: error while loading shared libraries: liblzma.so.0: Additional info: * package version(s) pacman-3.4.1 - libalpm v5.0.1 xz-5.0.0-1 * config and/or log files etc. xz build log attached Steps to reproduce: cd /var/pkgsrc/UPDATES pbget xz cd xz makepkg --install --noconfirm --log pacman -Syu (any pacman command fails) fix system by downloading xz-4.999.9beta_212_gacbc-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.gz and untaring to / |

update your libarchive to 2.8.4-2

If you are building your own packages from [core] you should know how to deal with soname changes.
